Purpose of the Day
In response to the positive feedback we received from last year’s Emerging Scholars’ Day (ESD), this is the seventh consecutive year that this special event will take place. The ESD is scheduled on the day before the main GSFL Roundtable begins. This scheduling gives the attendees an opportunity to get to know one another, share their work experiences and research projects, as well as participate in special lectures and workshops in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The events scheduled for this day have been designed for undergradaute and graduate students as well as academics and practitioners who are relatively new to the fields of Forensic Linguistics and/or Forensic Phonetics. The specific schedule for the GSFL2019 will cover a range of topics–many of which were expressly requested by past GSFL attendees. We hope that the events planned for the ESD2019 will make for an educational and enjoyable experience, for both old and new attendees! At the end of the day, a very informal dinner will take place. All ESD attendees are welcome to come.
NB: This event is now filled for 2019. If you would like to put yourself on the waiting list, simply send a request email to [email protected]
