Purpose of the Day
In response to the positive feedback we received from last year’s Emerging Scholars’ Day (ESD), this is the fourth consecutive yedar that this special event will take place. The ESD is scheduled on the day before the main GSFL Roundtable begins. This scheduling gives the attendees an opportunity to get to know one another, share their work experiences and research projects, and participate in special lectures and workshops in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The events scheduled for this day have been designed for undergradaute and graduate students as well as academics and practitioners who are relatively new to the fields of Forensic Linguistics and/or Forensic Phonetics. The specific schedule for the GSFL2017 will cover a range of topics–many of which were expressly requested by past GSFL attendees. We hope that the events planned for the ESD2017 will make for an educational and enjoyable experience, for both old and new attendees! At the end of the day, a very informal dinner will take place. All ESD attendees are welcome to come.
As space for the ESD is limited, all interested attendees are encouraged to register for the event as soon as possible. Space will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Given the graphic nature of the subject matter, all registrants must be at least 18 years or older to attend. Please note that official space will only be reserved once official registration and payment have been received in full. To sign up for the ESD2017, simply click here: GSFL2017 registration.
